Xitron Signs Metrix® OEM Agreement with LithoTechnics
Phoenix, Arizona, September 9, 2007 -
LithoTechnics Inc, developer of Metrix®, award-winning
workflow integration & automation software, announced
today the signing of an OEM distribution agreement with Xitron,
the largest independent provider of RIPs to the print industry,
and a leading supplier of RIP management software and workflow
solutions.
Under the agreement, Xitron will sell and support
the entire Metrix product line, on the Macintosh and Windows
platforms, to complement its workflow offerings for the commercial
print and short-run digital print markets.
"Our customers are always on the lookout
for cost-effective workflow add-ons that enhance automation,
eliminate waste, and reduce costly errors," remarked
R. Patrick French, Vice President, Sales & Marketing for
Xitron. "Metrix is clearly a solution that is not only
affordable, but one that adds tremendous value to Xitron's
workflow and RIP offerings," continued French. "We
were very impressed with the efficiency gains we were able
to achieve with an integrated Metrix/Xitron configuration,
and very pleased to add Metrix to our portfolio of JDF-enabled
products."
Rohan Holt, President of LithoTechnics, said:
"We are delighted to be working with Xitron, a company
well-known for its innovation, responsiveness to customer
needs, and clever solutions." Holt continued, "We
share a similar approach to the challenges facing the printing
industry, and a common goal: contributing to the modernization
of print production by streamlining processes, eliminating
wasteful and error-prone manual tasks, and optimizing resources."
The Metrix family, for Macintosh and Windows,
includes Mini Metrix, for the smaller print shop, in 21"
and 30" versions, with imposed PDF output. Metrix Commercial,
for the general commercial printer, accommodates sheet sizes
