Prism to demonstrate JDF interoperability
of WIN with LithoTechnics' Metrix at IPEX
Seamless Link of Newest Versions of Both
Products Gives Estimators Optimized Imposition Capability
to Maximize Job Productivity
Birmingham, UK, April 3, 2006 - Prism
Europe will be demonstrating, for the first time, the JDF
interoperability of the newest versions of Prism-WIN with
LithoTechnics' award-winning Metrix® at IPEX, Stand #20-C40.
Visitors to the stand will see a live demonstration
of how JDF import/export functionality enables the two-way
flow of product descriptions and layouts between the new Prism-WIN
v1903 Management Information System and the new Metrix 2.0
automatic layout calculator, which now handles web and sheetfed
bound products.
The seamless link provides estimators with an
optimized, efficient imposition layout for highly accurate
planning to achieve maximum job productivity and enhanced
profitability.
David Dunbavand, General Manager, Prism Europe,
observes, "We're excited to be demonstrating the interoperability
of our WIN system with LithoTechnics' Metrix 2.0 software
at our IPEX stand. We see this functionality as an important
centerpiece in management's drive to assure a high level of
confidence in achieving successful results of even the most
complex jobs at the very earliest stages of the print planning
process."
Rohan Holt, LithoTechnics founder notes,
"JDF interoperability is essential for growth-minded
printers, and we're pleased to have the opportunity to join
with Prism Europe in demonstrating the powerful benefits of
linking WIN MIS with Metrix automated job planning. Clearly,
both of our companies are fully committed to working together
to advance the JDF standard as the most productive course
for print production automation."
