LithoTechnics and SCREEN Sign Worldwide Metrix®
Distribution Agreement
Phoenix, Arizona, November 10, 2008 - LithoTechnics
and SCREEN - S. Ten Nines California, LLC announced today
the signing of a worldwide distribution agreement for Metrix,
award-winning intelligent job planning and imposition software.
Under the agreement, SCREEN will sell and support
the entire Metrix product line, on Mac OS X and Windows platforms,
to complement Trueflow SE, SCREEN's fully JDF-compliant
PDF workflow system. As part of the agreement, LithoTechnics
and SCREEN have engineered much tighter JDF integration between
Metrix and Trueflow SE, making the total user experience much
more intuitive and powerful. As well, LithoTechnics has developed
a Chinese version of Metrix, which SCREEN will debut at the
upcoming All In Print show in Shanghai.
"SCREEN is dedicated to developing efficient,
easy-to-use and open systems," said Setsuo Ohara, President,
SCREEN - S. Ten Nines California, LLC. "Metrix fits extremely
well into our workflow model, offering our customers an automated
job planning and imposition module that translates directly
into higher productivity and profitability." Mr. Ohara
continued, "Metrix has already proven itself to a number
of our customers as an indispensable tool for efficient production.
Now, with a higher level of JDF integration between Trueflow
SE and Metrix, the connection between planning/imposition
and prepress is further simplified and automated, enabling
our customers to realize even greater efficiencies."
Rohan Holt, President of LithoTechnics, remarked:
"We are very excited about a closer relationship with
SCREEN on a worldwide basis, as well as the opportunity to
enter the Chinese market." Holt added, "SCREEN's
goal for Trueflownet - the integration of SCREEN software
with as wide a range of third-party products as possible -
is right in line with the guiding principles behind JDF, which
is moving our industry closer to true automation and rational
print manufacturing. I am very pleased to be working with
SCREEN on these projects, and look forward to other projects
that can benefit our mutual customers."
